Weak Signal Papers
Part of my official role is to prepare short papers on what I believe to be weak signals, things that might become important to Orange in the longer term. They get sent around senior management for comment, I have had positive responses to them but to be perfectly honest they end up going nowhere in the organisation, I’m sure there are lots of reasons but I suspect that mostly it’s because no-one has time to take on new ideas or perhaps they don’t like ideas that come from outside their own area, I have no clue, I spend a few weeks trying to chase through each one, sending many mails, leaving messages on voicemail etc but that’s my limit, after that I don’t waste any more of my time.
However I’ve decided to put them here on my ‘work blog’ for posterity, if you happen to come across them and want to discuss please feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get in touch.
